Name: A long description name usually accompanied by an abbreviated code.
Description: Often used in validation tables accompanying an abbreviated identifer.
Facility Identifer: A unique abbreviated identifier for the facilty in which the proposed experiment is to take place.
Group Identifier: Abbreviated identier used to allow instruments to be group into logical associations..
Sort Order: Numerical sort order to control display order of instruments in charts and reports.
Supplemental Proposal Call Indicator: Indicates that this instrument will participate in a supplemental proposal call.
MIME Type: Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) is an Internet standard that extends the format of e-mail to support:
* text in character sets other than US-ASCII;
* non-text attachments;
* message bodies with multiple parts; and
* header information in non-ASCII character sets.
MIME's use, however, has grown beyond describing the content of e-mail to describing content type in general.
File Name: An external file system file name. Often the external file name of data imported into the Rdb, such as EPICS .db files.
