> Creating E-mail Templates for Datastream 7i Messenger

Create and modify e-mail messages using e-mail templates.

Follow these steps to create e-mail templates for Datastream 7i Messenger.

1. Open the Messenger composer form (BXMTMP).

2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

3. Mail template—Enter a unique code identifying the e-mail template, and then enter a description of the template in the adjacent field.

4. Mail recipients—Click to select the recipients of the e-mail message. Datastream 7i displays the Select mail recipient(s) dialog box. Select recipients on the left, and then click To to move the recipient to the right. When you are finished selecting e-mail recipients, click OK.

5. Mail subject—Enter the subject of the e-mail message.

6. Mail body—Compose the e-mail message. Identify the parameter number(s) that corresponds to the column of the Datastream 7i table to be displayed with this e-mail. Enter %1 - %15 for each parameter.

7. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
