Define an unlimited number of new properties, or fields, and attach a selection of these attributes to any class of entity (e.g., an equipment class or a purchase order class) or to an entity (e.g., all equipment or all purchase orders). Custom fields appear under the Custom fields tab.
|
Select Custom fields on the Record view page of the Entities (BNENTS) form to make this functionality available for the entity. This selection automatically creates a class * for the entity, which makes it possible to associate fields to this entity (which then makes these fields available to "All Classes" of that entity). To associate custom fields to a particular class of entity, first define that class. |
Specify a valid list of values for a custom field using the Custom fields and list of values form. When defining the custom fields as type "CODE," enter a description with the value.
Follow these steps to define custom fields.
Open the Custom fields form (BMPROM).
