Datastream 7i installation sets up default values, also known as "installation codes" or "installation parameters." Some of these parameters are "fixed," indicated by the Fixed check box on the Installation codes form (BNINST). Customize "unfixed" installation parameters after installing Datastream 7i to tailor the system to your working environment.

The Installation codes form contains 8 pages classifying parameters according to module. However, the List view page lists all installation parameters.
Follow these steps to modify installation parameters.
Open the Installation codes form (BNINST).
Query for the parameter to modify.
Default—Enter the default value for the parameter.
Description—Enter a brief description of the default value.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
