> Modifying the Remember Mechanism

Datastream 7i can "remember" the current value of a field in a function and then automatically query for the value when opening a function where that field is relevant. Modify the values for Datastream 7i to remember, as necessary.

   Datastream discourages modifying the remember mechanism.

Follow these steps to modify the remember mechanism.

  1. Open the Fields to remember form (BNREMB).

  2. Function—Query for the function for which to modify the value to remember.

  3. System entity—Enter the entity of the value for Datastream 7i to remember.

  4. Field—Enter the field of the value for Datastream 7i to remember.

  5. Field—Enter the field of the second value for Datastream 7i to remember if there are two key fields.

  6. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
