The Datastream 7i menu bar resembles the menu bars in other Windows applications. Each menu contains functions associated with the menu’s title.
Choose an item from the menu bar. Datastream 7i displays a "drop-down" menu listing main topics for that item. Choose an item from a flyout menu. Datastream 7i displays a submenu. Continue choosing menu items until you reach the destination task.
Windows-compliant
functions are those that most Windows programs contain, such as
File | Save, Edit | Copy, and Help | About. Datastream 7i menus contain several
Windows-compliant functions. However, Datastream 7i also contains several
bonus navigation functions, in addition to those for performing maintenance
