> Mnemonics

A mnemonic is an abbreviation, much like an acronym. Use mnemonics to quickly access Datastream 7i forms.

Datastream 7i mnemonics are organized in a definite and logical pattern. The first letter of the mnemonic represents the module that contains the feature. In PMPORD, for example, P stands for Purchasing, - the purchasing management module. The second letter describes the type of form. In PMPORD, the M stands for Master—a master screen. The remaining letters stand for the form itself. In PMPORD, the PORD stands for Purchase order.
