Open the form to query.
Click to enter query mode.
Choose one of the following options:
You know all but one character—Enter the characters you know, and substitute _ for the unknown character.
You only know a portion—Enter the part you know, and substitute % for the unknown part.
For example, if you enter P%, Datastream 7i retrieves all items that begin with the letter "P." If you enter %PIP% in Description, Datastream 7i retrieves all items whose descriptions include the letters "PIP."
Click . Datastream 7i displays all values matching the search criteria.
