Save filters for exporting records from Datastream 7i on any form to create a set of parameters for exporting records from the form, including the fields that are exported.
Follow these steps to save filters for exporting records from Datastream 7i.
Open the form from which to export records.
Query for the records to export.

Datastream 7i will export the results of the last query performed, even if you are not currently viewing those records (e.g., if you cleared the form). |
Click . Datastream 7i displays the Export to Excel dialog box.
Modify the fields to be exported from Datastream 7i as necessary.
Filter—Enter the name under which to save the filter for exporting records, and then click . Datastream 7i displays a message asking whether you wish to save the new filter as the default filter for exporting records from this form.

If you modify an existing filter and/or enter a new name under which to save the parameters, Datastream 7i will overwrite the existing filter. Datastream 7i displays a message asking whether to save the new filter as the default. |
Choose one of the following options:
Save the parameters for exporting records as the default filter for exporting records from this form—Click Yes. Datastream 7i saves the selected filter as the default filter for the report and returns to the parameter screen.
Save the parameters for exporting records without setting them as the default filter for exporting records from this form—Click No. Datastream 7i saves the selected export filter and returns to the Export to Excel dialog box.
