Follow these steps to access forms with select a function.
Press Ctrl+F2. Datastream 7i displays the Select a function dialog box.

If you use the Select a function feature often, you can set up Datastream 7i to display the icon for the Select a function dialog box on the options toolbar. Choose View | Forms | Direct selection from the menu bar. Datastream 7i displays the icon in the upper right corner of the options toolbar. |
Enter the mnemonic of the form to open in the upper left corner of the dialog box.

If unsure of the form name, click Full list. Datastream 7i displays the entire list of available functions. To query for a form from the full list, enter a portion of the form name after the % and then press ENTER on the keyboard. Datastream 7i searches for the form. For example, if you are searching for a stock form but do not know the mnemonic, place the cursor after the % and enter stock%. Datastream 7i displays all the forms with the word stock appearing in the title. Select the form, and then click OK. Datastream 7i opens the form. |
Choose one of the following options:
Display the selected function in a new window—Click New.
Replace the current window with the new form—Click Same.
Retain the previous form and display the new form as a pop-up—Click Pop-up.
Datastream 7i displays the form.
