> Starting Datastream 7i

Follow these steps to start Datastream 7i.

  1. Start Windows.

  2. Open the Web browser and enter the URL for Datastream 7i. The browser displays the Datastream 7i logon form.

  3. Name—Enter the user name. Datastream 7i displays the default organization for the user if you use multi-organization security.

  4. Password—Enter the password. Special characters mask your password as you type it.

  5. If multi-organization security (MOS) is activated, Datastream 7i displays Organization. Double-click in Organization to view or change the session organization to any organization to which you have access.

  6. Click Enter. Datastream 7i displays the main window.

   After five consecutive unsuccessful logon attempts, Datastream 7i locks the user out until the system administrator unlocks that user or until the lockout period has expired. The default lockout period is five hours. Change the lockout setting as necessary.
