> Resetting Users Locked Out of Datastream 7i

Datastream 7i locks out users for a period of five hours after five consecutive unsuccessful login attempts. Reset locked-out users so they can once again log in to Datastream 7i.

Follow these steps to reset users locked out of Datastream 7i.

  1. Open the Users form (BMUSER).

  2. Query for the user to reset. Datastream 7i displays the user record.

  3. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  4. Click Unlock user. Datastream 7i resets the user.

   Change the number of unsuccessful logon attempts allowed by Datastream 7i by changing the value of SECUVIOL on the Installation codes form (BNINST).
