> Viewing Electronic Records and Signatures

Datastream stores information concerning snapshots and signatures, including the date and time of the snapshot or signature, name of the person who signed or updated the record, the type of signature entered, and the new status of the record. If applicable, Datastream 7i also displays the certification number and certification type for the person who signed or updated the record. The FAAMOD installation parameter determines whether certification numbers and types are required for electronic signatures.

   To view electronic records and signatures, you must enable eRecord on the options toolbar. Open the Entities form (BNENTS), query for the entity for which to enable electronic records, and then select eRecord.

Follow these steps to view electronic records and signatures.

  1. Open any form requiring electronic signatures for status changes.

  2. Query for the record for which to view electronic signatures.

  3. Click eRecord on the options toolbar. Datastream 7i displays the Electronic records form.

  4. View the snapshot and electronic signature information.

   You can also print the electronic records directly from the Electronic records form by clicking Print a list of electronic records to view a list of all the records or clicking Print electronic record to view a snapshot of the selected record.
