> Defining Physical Meters

Follow these steps to define physical meters.

1. Open the Meters form (OMMETR).

2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

3. Meter—Enter a unique code identifying the meter, and then enter a description of the meter in the adjacent field.

4. Organization—Click to select the organization to which the meter belongs if you use multi-organization security.

5. Class—Click to select the class of the meter. The classes shown belong to the MET entity.

6. Meter unit—Click to select the meter’s unit of measure.

7. Maximum value—Enter the maximum value the meter can reach before it exceeds its physical count limit and resets to zero. Leave Maximum value blank if the meter cannot reset to zero when it reaches its physical count limit.

8. Last value—Enter the last meter reading as necessary.

9. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
