Transfer parts tracked by asset that are held in store between organizations using the By asset part transfer form (SXTRAS).
Transfer parts tracked by asset with a Status of In store, Purchased/in store, or To be repaired between organizations to move parts tracked by asset between organizations for repairs or to install in a new organization. In many instances, a by asset part will be transferred to one organization for repair and then shipped to another organization to be installed.
Follow these steps to transfer parts tracked by asset between organizations.
Open the By asset part transfer form (SXTRAS).
Query in the top section for the part to transfer to another organization.

Datastream 7i only retrieves assets with a Status of In store, Purchased/in store, or To be repaired in the query results set. Additionally, Datastream 7i does not retrieve any assets with a Status of To be repaired that are associated with a requisition in the query results set. |
New organization—Click to select the organization to which to transfer the part.
New department—Click to select the new department to which to transfer the part.
New store—Click to select the store to which to transfer the part.
New bin—Click to select the bin to which to transfer the part.
Enter information into the remaining fields as necessary.
Click Transfer. Datastream 7i transfers the equipment and displays a message indicating that the part was transferred successfully. Click OK. Datastream 7i returns to the By asset part transfer form.
