> Updating Warranty Coverage Periods

Update warranty coverage periods for all equipment belonging to a user-entered parent piece of equipment.

Follow these steps to update warranty coverage periods.

  1. Open the Warranty update form (OXWARU).

  2. Parent—Click to select the parent equipment.

  3. Manufacturer—Click to select the equipment’s manufacturer.

  4. Existing warranty—Click to select the equipment’s existing warranty document.

  5. New warranty—Click to select the new warranty document for this equipment.

  6. Start date—Click to select the date upon which the new warranty becomes effective.

  Click Number of records to be updated to determine the number of records affected by this process. If the number is alarmingly large, adjust the query parameters to update a smaller number of records.

  1. Click Submit. Datastream 7i updates the parent piece of equipment with the new warranty coverage period. Datastream 7i also updates all child equipment associated with the Existing warranty.
