The Datastream 7i screen layout editor is a graphical form on which users can modify a layout by dragging fields to new locations, resizing, toggling on/off display, or making fields mandatory.
Follow these steps to modify forms.
Open the form to modify.
Choose Options | Administration | Modify layout from the menu bar. Datastream 7i displays the Datastream 7i screen layout editor form.
Modify the layout of the form according to the following guidelines:
Move fields by clicking on the field while pressing CTRL and then dragging the field to a different location.
Resize a field by clicking Width and then specifying the new width.
Hide a field by clicking Display.
Make a field read-only by clicking Read-only.
Make a field required by clicking Required.

Change nondisplayed fields to displayed fields using the field properties form (BNCFLD). Fields that are already required cannot be made nonrequired. |
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
Click Exit. Datastream 7i displays the modified form.
