Evaluation criteria include questions and answers that help evaluate supplier performance. Each question is weighted with a value between 0 and 100, and the weight for all questions must equal 100 percent. For example, if you create three questions, two questions can be weighted at 30 and one at 40.
Each possible response must have a numeric value based on the limit set by the SUEVMAXR installation parameter (e.g., 0 – 5). Datastream 7i calculates the evaluation based on the weight of the question and the numeric value of the response.
Follow these steps to define evaluation criteria.
Open the Evaluation codes form (SMSUQA).
Query for the evaluation code for which to define evaluation criteria.
Click the Q and A tab. Datastream 7i displays the Q and A page.
Complete the following steps in the top section of the form:
Line—Enter a line number, e.g., 10, 20, etc.
Evaluation criteria—Enter a question pertaining to the supplier, e.g., How secure was the packaging?
Weight %—Enter a weight percentage for the question, e.g., 30.
Complete the following steps in the lower section of the form:
Line—Enter a line number for the response.
Criteria response—Enter a response that applies to the selected question. For example, if the question was How secure was the packaging, create responses such as Good, Fair, Bad.
Value—Enter a numeric value for the response based on the value of the SUEVMAXR installation parameter.
Repeat these steps to create responses for all questions in the top section.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
