> Defining Interchangeable Parts

Define parts that can be substituted for other parts.

Follow these steps to define interchangeable parts.

1. Open the Interchangeable parts (alternatives) form (SDPRPR).

2. Query for the part for which to define a substitute.

3. Alternative part—Click to select the substitute part.

4. Full—Select to indicate that the parts are completely interchangeable.

5. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
