> Defining Price Codes of Transaction Classes

Establish the percentage charged for a transaction between two locations. Complete the Price codes form (SNPRCC) prior to completing the Price codes of transaction classes form.

Follow these steps to define price codes of transaction classes.

  1. Open the Price codes of transaction classes form (SNPRIC).

  2. Origin—Click to select the price code for the shipping location of the items.

  3. Destination—Click to select the price code for the receiving location of the items.

  4. Class—Click to select the class of the storeroom transactions involved. The classes shown belong to the TRAN entity.

  5. % of base price—Enter the charge percentage. Datastream 7i multiplies the charge percentage by the base price of an item to obtain a new price.

For charge percentage, use a number greater than 100 to add a charge or a number less than 100 for a discount. If the charge percentage is 100, Datastream 7i uses the regular base price.

  1. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.

When setting up store information, associate a price code with each storeroom. After the source store issues parts for transfer, the system applies price codes and percentages to the receiving store on the Receive goods form (SMRECV) or the Store to store transfer form (SDSTOR).
