With multi-organization security (MOS), centrally maintain prices of parts used across organizations. To define prices on the part level (SMPART), ensure that the PRICELEV installation parameter is set to P. To define prices on the store level (SMSTOC), ensure that the PRICELEV is set to S.
|
You can only define multiple prices for parts if the MULTIORG installation parameter is set to YES. |
Follow these steps to define prices of common parts.
Choose one of the following options:
Maintain prices of common parts at the part level (part prices remain the same across all stores)—Open the Parts form (SMPART).
Maintain prices of common parts at the store level (part prices vary store to store)—Open the Stock form (SMSTOC).
Query for the part for which to define prices.
Click the Price tab. Datastream 7i displays the Price page.
Average price—Enter the average price of the part if prices are based on average price.
Last price—Enter the last price paid for the part if prices are based on last price paid.
Standard price—Enter the standard price of the part if prices are based on standard price.
Datastream 7i displays the Base price depending on the value of the installation parameter PRICETYP.
Core value—Enter the value of the part when it needs repair.
Credit balance is read-only. The Credit balance identifies the amount of credit associated with the part for an invoice line that must be used for the recalculation of the average price of the part. The Credit balance is applied to the Average price of the part based on the INCREDIT installation parameter upon approval of a new invoice and/or a credit or debit note applied to an invoice or an invoice line.
Organization—Click to select a different organization as necessary. If the part belongs to a common organization, Organization defaults to the organization of the current session. Datastream 7i only displays organizations to which you have access.
If the part belongs to a specific organization, Organization defaults to the organization defined on the Record view page.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
