To replenish the part in stock when the quantity of the part in stock reaches the reorder level—Select Reorder level. Enter a value for Minimum quantity, Reorder level, and Order quantity as necessary.
Enter a value for one or more of the following based on the stock method for the part.
Minimum quantity—Specify a value to indicate the minimum number of the part to keep in stock. When the quantity of this part in stock is equal to or less than the minimum quantity, Datastream 7i will trigger a purchasing action for the part and creates a record of the part on the List of stock form (SRLOWL) to indicate that the part has reached or dropped below its minimum stock level.
Maximum quantity—Specify a value to indicate the greatest number of the part to keep in stock. If you are using the min/max stock method, Datastream 7i only orders the quantity of the part that brings the stock quantity back to this maximum level when it generates requisition/purchase order lines for a part that falls below the minimum quantity level.
Reorder level—Specify a value to indicate the quantity at which Datastream 7i is to reorder the part. When the stock level of the part reaches or drops below this value, Datastream 7i triggers a purchase action for acquiring more of the part.
Order quantity—Specify a value to indicate the standard quantity of a part to order at one time. When Datastream 7i triggers a purchasing action, it will order the part in this quantity until the stock level of the part reaches the Maximum quantity.
ABC class—Click to select the class (A, B, or C) with which to associate the stock items. Datastream 7i uses this information to perform ABC analysis.

Refer to the Parts form (SMPART) for information about Last price, Average price, Base price, and Standard price. Prices are recorded at the part or stock level, depending on the setting of the installation parameter PRICELEV.
Datastream 7i displays the Price type of the store stocking the part. By default, the price type for a store is defined by the PRICETYP installation parameter. Datastream 7i also displays the total value of the stock item in store in the Total value field. The total value of the stock item in store is equal to the quantity on hand multiplied by the base price of the stock. If you are using LIFO/FIFO as your pricing method, the Average price and Base price fields display the average price of the LIFO/FIFO stock.
You can also view and/or edit stock value information created by transactions for all LIFO/FIFO stock on the Stock value page of the Stock form (SMSTOC).
Credit balance is read-only. The Credit balance identifies the amount of credit associated with the part for an invoice line that must be used for the recalculation of the average price of the part. The Credit balance is applied to the Average price of the part based on the INCREDIT installation parameter upon approval of a new invoice and/or a credit or debit note applied to an invoice or an invoice line.
Stocktake date and Stock quantity are also read-only. The Stocktake date is the date of the last physical inventory of this part. The Stock quantity is a calculated quantity based on the sum of all parts in all bins in a particular store.
If you have selected min/max as your stock method, Datastream 7i populates Reorder level with the value specified for Minimum quantity.
