> Viewing and Editing Stock Value Information (LIFO/FIFO)

View and/or edit stock value information for all LIFO/FIFO stock on the Stock value page of the Stock form (SMSTOC). The Stock value page only displays stock value information for parts initialized with a LIFO/FIFO Price type. Stock initialized with a LIFO/FIFO Price type automatically inserts a record into the R5FIFO table that stores part, price, quantity, store, and the transaction date and time. The transaction date and time indicate the date the stock was inserted into inventory and future LIFO/FIFO transactions are based on this date and time. The Stock value page also displays purchase order and purchase order line information for every purchasing transaction involving the LIFO/FIFO stock.

In addition to viewing stock value information, you can also edit the price of the stock on the Stock value page. When you edit the unit price of a record on this page, Datastream 7i generates a CORR transaction type for the quantity of that record and the dollar value difference in the old price and the new price. If you increase the price, the value of the difference in price for the correction is positive. If you decrease the price, the value of the difference in price for the correction is negative. CORR transactions are created at the store level for all stores.

Datastream 7i also displays any changes in stock value for the part in Base price and the total value of the part in store in Total value on the Record view page of the Stock form (SMSTOC).

Use the Overview of transactions per store form (SOTRAN) to query for the price correction transactions.
