Create service codes that identify work request problems to add to service requests. You can create a service code based on a standard work order and Datastream 7i will populate a service description and priority.
Follow these steps to create service codes.
Open the Service code form (WMSERC).
Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.
Service code—Enter a code identifying the service code, and then enter a description in the adjacent field.
Organization—Click to select the organization of the service code if you use multi-organization security.
Property—Click to select the property with which to associate the service code.
System—Click to select the system equipment with which to associate the service code.
Standard work order—Click to select the standard work order with which to associate the service code.
Standard response time—Enter, in minutes, the standard response time of the service code.
Estimated cost—Enter the estimated cost of the service code.
Service code priority—Click to select the priority level of the service code.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
