> Defining Action Codes

Action codes describe the steps necessary to correct the problem (e.g., add lubricant to a pump).

Follow these steps to define action codes.

1. Open the Action codes form (ONACCO).

2. Code—Enter a unique code identifying the action.

3. Description—Enter a description of the action.

4. General—Select to make the action code available to associate with any equipment class. General action codes apply to general terms (e.g., clean, inspect, replace, etc.). Unselect to restrict this code for association with specific equipment classes.

5. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
