> Defining Clauses of Contract Classes

Specify contract classes on contracts, and then associate clauses with the classes. The entity for contracts is CONT. Modify entity CONT as necessary using the Entities form (BNENTS).

Follow these steps to define clauses of contract classes.

1. Open the Clauses of contract classes form (CDCOTP).

2. Query for the contract class for which to define clauses.

3. Sequence number—Enter a sequential number for the clause. The sequence specifies the order in which clauses are copied to the contract. Many clauses are children of parent clauses.

4. Clause—Click to select the clause to associate with the contract class. You can associate multiple clauses with a class.

5. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
