> Defining Code Levels

Follow these steps to define code levels.

1. Open the Entities form (BNENTS).

2. Query for the CLVL entity.

3. Click the Classes tab. Datastream 7i displays the Classes page.

4. Class—Enter the code identifying the first level of the coding structure.

5. Description—Enter a description of the code level, e.g., Property, Building, Floor/Unit. Datastream 7i uses this description as the prompt for this level when assigning the code for the applicable information.

6. Organization—Click to select the organization to which the class belongs if you use multi-organization security.

7. Coding entity—Click to select the SERQ entity.

8. Level—Enter the level of the code.

9. Repeat these steps to create as many as three structure levels for the service request.

10. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
