> Defining Contract Clauses

Use the International Standards Organization (ISO) contract clauses predefined in Datastream 7i, or define clauses to suit your organization’s needs.

Follow these steps to define contract clauses.

  1. Open the Clauses form (CMCLAU).

  2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  3. Clause—Enter a unique code identifying the clause, and then enter a description of the clause in the adjacent field.

  4. Organization—Click to select the organization to which the contract clause belongs if you use multi-organization security.

  5. Class—Click to select the class of the clause. The classes shown belong to the CLAU entity.

  6. Parent clause—Click to select the parent clause, if applicable.

  7. Sequence number—Enter a number to indicate the order of the child clauses in relation to the parent clause.

  8. System record—Select if this is a system record. This record cannot be deleted if it is marked as a system record.

  9. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
