> Defining Shift Cycles

Define the cycles for the established shifts.

Follow these steps to define shift cycles.

1. Open the Shifts form (WNSHIF).

2. Query for the shift for which to define cycles.

3. Click the Days per shift tab. Datastream 7i displays the Days per shift page.

4. Day—Enter a new record for each day in the shift cycle, numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.

5. Number of hours—Enter the number of hours worked in the shift cycle for each day. For days on which no work occurs, enter 0.

6. Start time—Enter the time work begins, even for days on which no work occurs, for each day in the shift cycle. Enter time in the HH:MM format, e.g., 08:00 for 8:00 am.

7. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
