> Defining Shutdown Codes

Define equipment to service during shutdowns. Your organization might have equipment that can only be serviced when it is completely out of service or shut down. A shutdown can represent either a part of the facility or a type of shutdown to be performed.

Set up specific shutdown events as independent projects. First, define the various shutdown identification codes your organization will use.

Follow these steps to define shutdown codes.

  1. Open the Shutdown form (JMSHUT).

  2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  3. Shutdown—Enter a unique code identifying the shutdown, and then enter a brief description of the shutdown in the adjacent field.

  4. Organization—Click to select the organization to which the shutdown code belongs if you use multi-organization security.

  5. Class—Click to select the class of the shutdown. The classes shown belong to the SHUT entity.

  6. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
