Add parts to blanket orders to specify the materials that can be ordered using the blanket order. Set up materials in the parts catalog before adding them to blanket orders.
When you are adding part lines to the blanket order, consider the following rules:
The Maximum value for any line cannot exceed the Maximum value specified on the header.
The Unit price cannot exceed the Maximum value specified for the line.
Follow these steps to add parts to blanket orders.
Open the Blanket orders form (PMBORD).
Query for the blanket order for which to add parts.
Click the Parts tab. Datastream 7i displays the Parts page.
Line—Datastream 7i automatically assigns a line number based on the setting of the INCRLINO installation parameter; however, you can enter a line number as necessary.

The default setting for INCRLINO is 1; however, you can reset the value for INCRLINO as necessary. If INCRLINO is set to 1, Datastream 7i numbers lines in increments of 1, e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc. If the setting is 10, Datastream 7i numbers lines in increments of 10, e.g., 10, 20, 30, etc. |
Type—Click to select the type of materials to order.

If the part requires inspection, Datastream 7i automatically selects Inspection when you select the part. If Inspection is not selected and you want the part to be inspected upon arrival, select Inspection. |
Choose one of the following options:
If the item is a commodity—Click , for Commodity, to select a commodity.
If the item is a part—Click , for Part, to select a part.
Reference—Enter the item code assigned by the supplier.
Choose one of the following options:
If the blanket order line is for a maximum number of items—Enter the number of items for Maximum quantity.
If the blanket order line is for a total monetary amount—Enter the amount for Maximum value.
Datastream 7i displays the total quantity released against the blanket order line in Released quantity, the monetary amount released against the blanket order line in Released value, the number of releases against the blanket purchase order line to date in Number released, and displays the code of the most recently generated purchase order from the blanket order line in Last order.

Double-click in Unit price or Maximum value to view price, currency, and exchange rate information. |
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
