> Adding Parts to Quotations

Follow these steps to add parts to quotations.

  1. Open the Quotations form (QMQUOT).

  2. Query for the quotation for which to add parts.

  3. Select the Parts tab. Datastream 7i displays the Parts page.

  4. Line—Enter the quotation line number. The default line numbering is 1, 2, 3, etc.

  5. Requisition—Click to select the requisition and requisition line number for which to request a quotation.

  6. Type—Datastream 7i uses a default storeroom materials type. Click to change the type if the part is a direct materials item.

  7. Part—Click to select the part.

   If the part requires inspection, Datastream 7i automatically selects Inspection when you select the part. If Inspection is not selected and you want the part to be inspected upon arrival, you can manually select Inspection.

  1. Qty requested—Enter the quantity of the part needed.

  2. Purchase UOM—Click to select the purchase unit of measure.

   Double-click in Total amount to view price, currency, and exchange rate information.

  To add comments to the quotation, click Comments. Datastream 7i displays the Comments dialog box. The Comments dialog box retains the permissions defined for the tab from which it is invoked.

  1. Conv factor—Enter the conversion factor to convert from purchase unit of measure to issue unit of measure.

  2. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
