Add services to blanket orders to accommodate regularly generated purchase orders for any services that you may frequently use, such as landscaping, janitorial, vehicle maintenance, catering, etc.
Follow these steps to add services to blanket orders.
Open the Blanket orders form (PMBORD).
Query for the blanket order for which to add services.
Click the Services tab. Datastream 7i displays the Services page.
Line—Datastream 7i automatically assigns a line number based on the setting of the INCRLINO installation parameter; however, you can enter a line number as necessary.

The default setting for INCRLINO is 1; however, you can reset the value for INCRLINO as necessary. If INCRLINO is set to 1, Datastream 7i numbers lines in increments of 1, e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc. If the setting is 10, Datastream 7i numbers lines in increments of 10, e.g., 10, 20, 30, etc. |
Type—Click to select the type of services to order.
Task—Click to select the task for which to order the services.
Trade—Click to select the trade for which to order the services.
Hours requested—Enter the number of service hours requested.
Units—Enter the number of units for the services.

If you have entered a Task, increasing the value entered for Units automatically increases the value of Hours requested based on the value specified for Hours requested on the task record on the Tasks form (WNTASK). For example, if you specified 3 hours as the number of Hours requested on the task record, increasing the value of Units to 4 automatically updated the Hours requested for the service line on the blanket order to 12. |
Price—Enter the price of the services.
Exchange rate—Click to select the exchange rate for the services.
Delivery address—Click to select the delivery address for the services.
Choose one of the following options:
If the blanket order line is for a maximum number of service hours—Enter the maximum number of hours for Maximum hours.
If the blanket order line is for a total monetary amount—Enter the amount for Maximum value.
Datastream 7i displays the total hours released against the blanket order line in Released hours, the monetary amount released against the blanket order line in Released value, the number of releases against the blanket purchase order line to date in Number released, and the code of the most recently generated purchase order from the blanket order line in Last order.

Double-click in Price or Maximum hours to view price, currency, and exchange rate information. |
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
