Copy an existing quotation and update the supplier information.

If you create two identical quotations for a service activity and then create two purchase orders based on these quotations, Datastream 7i will not allow you to order the service activity twice. |
Follow these steps to copy existing quotation details.
Open the Quotations form (QMQUOT).
Query for the quotation from which to copy details. The request for quotation must be complete, with both header information and line item details. The status must be Ready for printing.
Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.
Click Copy. Datastream 7i copies the original quotation header data and all the line item details.
Update the remaining data on this screen with new supplier information.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
The existing quotation code remains unchanged, but Datastream 7i increases the sequence number incrementally, creating multiple records for each quotation. The status of the quotation reverts to Unfinished.
