> Creating Blanket Orders from Quotations

Before creating a blanket order from a quotation, change the quotation status to Approved.

   Quotation lines for external repairs cannot be added to a blanket order.

Follow these steps to create blanket orders from quotations.

  1. Open the Quotations form (QMQUOT).

  2. Query for the quotation from which to create a blanket order. The quotation must have detail line items defined for parts.

  3. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  4. Buyer—Click to select the buyer for the blanket order.

  5. Click Create blanket order. Datastream 7i creates a blanket order by copying the quotation header and detail information. Datastream 7i places the blanket order number in Last blanket order and generates this code only when a blanket order is created. If you enter a query or leave the form, the field clears. The status of the new blanket order is Unfinished.
