> Creating Service Purchase Orders

Datastream 7i keeps a catalog of all prices quoted for services. The next time you need a particular service, use the Purchased services catalog form (QDCATS) to generate a purchase order.

Follow these steps to create service purchase orders.

1. Open the Purchased services catalog form (QDCATS).

2. Query for the quotation, supplier, and trade from which to generate a service purchase order. Datastream 7i displays the work orders in the lower section of the form.

3. Hours—Enter the required hours for the service.

4. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i generates a purchase order and enters the purchase order number in Order.
