Datastream 7i automatically creates requisitions for repairable spares if the Quantity to be repaired is greater than or equal to Min repair quantity on the Repair details page of the Stock form (SMSTOC).
External repair requisition lines will be created if External repair is selected and a Preferred supplier is entered on the Repair details page. If External repair is not selected and a Department and piece of Equipment have been entered, Datastream 7i generates an internal repair requisition and a repairable spare work order using the Department, Equipment, and Standard work order entered on the Repair details page.
Follow these steps to generate repair requisitions.
Open the Create requisitions for parts to be repaired form (SBRPRF).
Store, Cost code, Originator, Authorization, Supplier, Department, ABC class, and/or Part—Click to select the store, cost code, originator, authorization, supplier, department, ABC class, and/or part for which to generate repairable spares requisitions.
