> Recording On-dock Receipt

   If the installation parameter RCPTCURR is set to RCPT, Datastream 7i applies the current active exchange rate when you approve the receipt.

Follow these steps to record on-dock receipt.

  1. Open the On-dock receipt form (SMDOCK).

  2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  3. On-dock receipt—Enter a description of the received order in the adjacent field. Datastream 7i assigns a receipt number after you save the record.

  4. Organization—Click to select the organization to which the receipt belongs if you use multi-organization security.

  5. Class—Click to select the class of the received order. The classes shown belong to the DOCK entity.

  6. Supplier—Click to select the supplier sending the parts.

  7. Order—Click to select the purchase order number for which to receive materials.

   Datastream 7i automatically populates Supplier and Dock ID based on the selected purchase Order.

  1. Req. filter—Enter the requisition number for which to display purchase orders in the Order list of values. If you know the requisition number for which you have purchased materials to receive, you can enter the requisition number as a filter. Datastream 7i only displays purchase orders that contain line items associated with the specified requisition in the list of values for Order.

  2. Dock ID—Click to select the store receiving the shipment.

  3. Receipt date—Enter the date you received the order.

  4. Packing slip—Enter the number located on the packing slip received with the order. 

  5. Ship via—Click to select the method of shipment.

  6. Location—Enter the code identifying the location receiving the shipment.

  7. Freight—Enter the amount of the shipping costs.

  8. Reference—Enter any comments concerning the receipt.

  9. Dept—Click to select the department receiving the parts.

  10. Received by—Click to select the employee recording the received order.

  11. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
