Create a new user function, and then associate it with the host command created in the last procedure.
Follow these steps to create new user functions for reports.
Open the User functions form (BMUFUN).
Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.
Function—Enter a unique code identifying the function, and then enter a description of the function in the adjacent field.
Class—Click to select Host from the list of values.

When defining an Oracle Report, select UREP (user report) as the class code. |
File—Enter the name of the file to execute.
Path—Enter the directory path for the report.
Fixed printer—Click to select a default printer for the report.
Command—Click to select the host command created on the Commands form (BMCMND).
Direct select—Select to open the function from the direct selection field.
Public—Select to grant all user groups access to the function.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
