> Creating Reports in Oracle Discoverer

To create reports in Oracle Discoverer, specify the URL of Discoverer, and then invoke the Discoverer Web page.

Follow these steps to create reports in Oracle Discoverer.

  1. Open the Functions form (BMFUNC).

  2. Query for the BXDISC function.

  3. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

  4. Path—Enter the URL that invokes Oracle Discoverer.

   If you create a new function with the WEB class, you can specify a URL in Path, and Datastream 7i displays the URL in a separate Web browser when you call the function.

  1. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.

  2. Open the Create Discoverer reports form (BXDISC). Datastream 7i displays the Oracle Discoverer browser.
