> Defining Background Report Parameters

When you associate a background report function with a screen function, specify the fields of the screen function from which the report function should take its parameter values.

Follow these steps to define background report parameters.

  1. Open the Functions form (BMFUNC).

  2. Query for the screen function to which to add background report parameters.

  3. Click the Report tab. Datastream 7i displays the Report page.

  View a list of parameter names on the Report parameters page.

  1. Line—Enter a new line number for the background report parameter.

  2. Parameter—Enter the name of the report parameter to which to copy the parameter value.

  3. Field—Enter the screen field name from which to copy the parameter value.

  4. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
