Start external report applications directly from within Datastream 7i, bypassing the selection screen because it is used for reports. The external application inserts message records into a Datastream 7i table. When users exit the external application and the Datastream 7i screen is back in focus, Datastream 7i scans and executes the messages in the intermediate table.
