> Data Collection Start Menu Items

The Datastream 7i installation creates several data collection items in the Start menu. Refer to the following table for more information on the properties of the data collection Start menu items. Refer to Windows documentation for more information on viewing a Start menu item’s properties.

Create Menus

Assembles the data collection menus file from Datastream 7i

Target—x:\oracle root\BIN\PLUS33W.EXE Datastream 7i0627@server@r5extmen.sql

Where @server represents the server name, and x represents the drive letter. Substitute @2 when the client and server reside on the same machine.

Start in—x:\Datastream 7i\ASTTRK\R5PROMPT\ICON

Create Prompts

Load Database

Loads the output file

Prompts to Scanner

Loads scanner with the prompts defined in the Data collection tracking prompts (TMASTP)

Note: In rare instances, the scanner might require the 16-bit driver, rather than the 32-bit driver. In those cases, edit PROMPTDN.BAT, replacing RFT32 with RFT16.

Scan Data to PC

Uploads the scanned data to Datastream 7i

Simulates Data Collection transactions in a DOS environment
