> Defining Return Prompts

Follow these steps to define return prompts.

1. Open the Select statements for selection criteria form (BMQUER).

2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view page.

3. Code—Enter the code identifying the SQL statement (return prompt).

4. SQL statement—Enter the SQL statement for the return prompt. To validate the statement, click Test SQL. Datastream 7i displays a message indicating the accuracy of the statement.

5. Asset tracking—Select to indicate that this code is used for data collection transactions.

6. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
