   Ensure that you selected to install the data collection module during Datastream 7i installation.

Refer to the following table for information on data collection files, their respective directories, and their purpose:

\R5PROMPT

Contains the primary data collection executable instructions and scripts

\DRIVEC

Data collection directory containing the following files:

  • Executables used to create .BIN and .IMG files

  • Scanner-specific files such as R5HNDHLD.EXE, and R5SYMBOL.EXE

  • Unneeded files that have been moved from the \ICON directory

\ICON

Files supporting icons, including batch, SQL, PTH, etc.

\INPUT

Location of files to be conveyed to the scanner, including the following files:

  • Scanner menu files

  • Scanner prompt files

  • Validation files

\OUTPUT

Location of files to be processed by Datastream 7i and loaded into MPT, including the following files:

  • Scanner-collected data files

  • Process documentation (output of R5PROCESS script)

\95SHRTCUT

Contains data collection icon files (also works with NT)

\BIN

Contains Developer 6i forms for data collection

\PCFONTS copy to WINNT\FONTS

Enables barcode reports to show fonts
