Transfer parts from one bin to another bin within the same store when necessary. For example, items in bin 1001 are consistently picked more often than exactly the same items in bin 1010. This situation results in excess items in bin 1010; therefore, transfer the bulk of the items from bin 1010 to bin 1001.
Datastream 7i does not prevent mixing items in the same bin. If you want to keep each bin segregated to just one part, use either the Bins of parts (SDSTBN) or Stock in bins (SNSTBN) forms to find out what bins hold the same part you want to move. |
You cannot create new bins with this feature. Define storeroom bins prior to transferring parts.
Datastream 7i does not generate transaction records for this type of transfer. |
