> Adding Custom Fields to PM Work Order Schedules for Printing Work Order Cards

Add custom fields to PM work orders and their schedule and print the values for custom fields on work order cards. When a new PM work order is created based on its schedule, Datastream 7i copies custom fields added for a PM schedule to the new work order.

However, if the WO class on the PM schedule is different than the Class of the work order on the Equipment tab of the Preventive maintenance schedule form (WMPPMS), then Datastream 7i copies only the custom fields that are common to both the PM schedule class and the work order class to any new work orders generated by the PM.

Follow these steps to add custom fields to the PM work order and its schedule.

  1. Open the Preventive maintenance schedules form (WMPPMS).

  2. Click the Record view tab. Datastream 7i displays the Record view tab.

  3. Query for the PM schedule for which to add custom fields.

  4. Click WO custom fields. Datastream 7i displays the Custom fields dialog box.

  5. Enter information for the custom field(s) as necessary.

  6. Click . Datastream 7i saves the information entered for the custom fields and returns to the Record view page.

  7. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database
