In principle, revision control for PM components (Material List, Task List, Equipment Routes) are independent of their related PM routines. However, they can be linked through an installation parameter. This means that the approval request for a new revision of a component automatically initiates an approval request of all associated PM routines using that component (Roll-Up). Approval of all revised PM routines for that component results in the automatic approval of the revised component (Roll-Down).

Follow these steps to approve PM components.
Open the Revision control approval form (WXAPPR).
Query for the PM component to approve.
Click the Parent PMs tab. Datastream 7i displays the Parent PMs page.
Approve or reject the PM routines influenced by the component change.
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
