First, define the individual PMs to associate with the PM plan by selecting existing PMs or creating new ones. Then, define activities for each PM.

You can only associate existing PMs if the PM belongs to same organization as the plan, the Not Used check box has not been selected on the PM, the PM is not associated to another plan, and the PM does not have equipment associated with it. |
Follow these steps to associate PMs and PM activities with PM plans.
Open the PM Plan form (WMPPMP).
Query for the PM plan with which to associate PMs.
Click the PM schedule tab. Datastream 7i displays the PM schedule page.
Complete the following steps in the top section of the form:
Choose one of the following options:
Associate an existing PM—Click , for PM, to select the PM.
Create and associate a new PM—Enter, for PM, a unique code identifying the new PM, and then enter a Description of the PM.

If you leave PM blank, Datastream 7i generates the PM code automatically. |
Class—Click to select the class of the PM. The classes shown belong to the PPM entity.
Priority—Click to select the priority level of the PM.
WO type—Click to select a work order type for the PM.
Duration—Enter the estimated number of days to complete the PM.
Period—Enter the length of the interval of time to pass before Datastream 7i generates the next PM routine work order. You can enter any value between 0 and 99999.
Period UOM—Click to select the unit of measure for the PM period. The unit of measure for the PM period can be days, weeks, months, quarters, or years.
PM type—Click to select the type of the PM, i.e., fixed, variable, or duplicate.
Estimated workload—Enter the estimated number of hours required to complete the PM.
Complete the following steps in the lower section of the form:

Create activities for the currently selected PM in the top section of the form. |
Activity—Enter a unique code identifying the activity number.
Trade—Click to select the trade to perform the activity.
Task—Click to select the task list for the activity.
Material list—Click to select the material list for the activity.
Estimated—Enter the number of estimated hours for the activity.
Start time—Enter 1 if the activity is to start on the day the work order starts. Enter 2 if the activity should start of the second day of the work order, etc.
Duration—Enter the duration of the activity in days.
Persons—Enter the number of people required to complete the activity.
Units—Enter the number of units for the task if you specified a task list.
UOM—Enter the unit of measure for the task if you specified a task list.
Order?—Select if you must procure services for the activity from an outside vendor.

To move an activity to another PM within the plan or to change the number of the current activity, click Move. Datastream 7i displays the Move an activity dialog box. Select a PM, enter a new Activity number, and then click Move. Datastream 7i updates the PM plan. |
Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
