> Creating New PM Revisions

Create revision control for specific PM work orders.

Follow these steps to create new PM revisions.

  1. Open the Preventive maintenance schedules form (WMPPMS).

  2. Query for the PM schedule for which to create a revision.

  3. Click the Revision control tab. Datastream 7i displays the Revision control page.

   You can also create new revisions using the Revision control tab on the Material lists (WNMATL), Tasks (WNTASK), and Routes (WMROUT) forms.

  1. Click New revision. Datastream 7i copies the selected PM to a new revision and gives it a status of Unfinished. Any changes to the revision should be made at this time. Only revisions with a status of Unfinished can be changed.

   Datastream 7i will not create a new revision if there is another revision with a status of Unfinished, Request Approval, or Rejected. If the Installation parameter PMRVCAPP is set to YES, then a new revision is created only from an approved revision.

  1. Status—Click to select the status of the revision.

  2. Approver list—Click to select the list of required approvers for this revision.

  3. Revision reason—Enter the reason why a new revision is necessary.

  4. Choose File | Save from the menu bar. Datastream 7i saves the information to the database.
